Latarjet Instrument Set

Our set of instruments for a Latarjet procedure is designed for even faster and more effective realization of Latarjet operation than it was possible until now.

Latarjet procedure (also known as Latarjet-Bristow procedure) is intended for improving stability of a shoulder joint. The procedure itself is known at least since 1954, when presented by a french surgeon dr. Michel Latarjet. Individuals who suffer from bone loss problems, muscle or tendon impairment or sport injuries may experience problems with weakening of shoulder joint and shoulder dislocation. A part of a collar bone (Coracoid process) with attached tendon is cut free during the procedure and shifted to the frontal part of the glenoid. There it is reattached, usually using two metal screws. In that way a significantly better stability of the shoulder joint is achieved.
